Pegboard use cases

  • Organization: Our wooden pegboards help children develop organizational skills by providing designated spaces for their belongings. This can include hanging backpacks, coats, and other items.
  • Independence: Children can learn to manage their possessions and daily routines more independently, as they can access and return items on their own.
  • Visual clarity: Pegboards make it easy for children to see and locate their belongings, reducing the frustration that can come from rummaging through drawers or closets.
  • Time management: By having a designated spot for school bags, uniforms, and other daily items, children can better manage their time and be more punctual.

Made from Baltic birch plywood

We use local Baltic birch plywood crafted from layers of birch wood veneer that are bonded together with adhesive. Birch plywood is known for its strength and durability. It can withstand the wear and tear that often comes with children using furniture. This is especially important for pieces that kids are likely to climb on. Our plywood has a light, uniform color, and smooth grain pattern.

Tips for choosing a peg board

How to find the best pegboard for your child's bedroom.

  1. Child's age: Consider your child's age and needs. Younger children may require a smaller and simpler pegboard, while older children may benefit from a larger and more versatile one.
  2. Safety: Ensure the pegboard is made from child-safe materials, free from harmful chemicals or sharp edges. Look for rounded or sanded edges to prevent splinters.
  3. Durability: Choose a well-constructed wooden pegboard that can withstand the rigors of daily use. Quality materials and craftsmanship are important for long-lasting durability.
  4. Size and space: Measure the available space in your child's room or play area to determine the appropriate size for the pegboard. Ensure there's enough room for your child to access it comfortably.
  5. Customization: Look for a pegboard that allows for customization in terms of peg placement. This flexibility can adapt to your child's changing needs and preferences.
  6. Hooks and accessories: Consider the types of hooks, pegs, and accessories included with the pegboard. Ensure they are appropriate for the items your child wants to hang or display.
  7. Accessibility: Make sure the pegboard is installed at an accessible height for your child, considering their height and reach.
  8. Weight capacity: Check the weight capacity of the pegboard and its accessories to ensure it can safely support your child's items and belongings.
Installation: Consider how the pegboard is installed. Some pegboards require mounting on the wall, while others can be freestanding. Choose the installation method that best suits your space and preferences.
  9. Organization: Think about the specific items your child will hang on the pegboard. Make sure there are enough hooks and pegs to accommodate their belongings.
  10. Safety measures: If your child is very young, consider whether the pegboard should be placed at a height where they can't reach small objects or hooks that may pose a choking hazard.
  11. Storage needs: Consider the specific items your child needs to organize, whether it's school bags, clothing, art supplies, or toys. Ensure the pegboard can accommodate these needs.
